The Annual Operational Plan set the goals for the Carpentaria Shire Council for the next twelve (12) months.
Each year Carpentaria Shire Council produces an Annual Report as required by the Local Government Regulation 2012.
Each financial year Council is required to prepare budget documents in accordance with legislation and adhering to Council budget guidelines released from the office of the Chief Executive Officer. Each year the budget process is the most important part of the corporate calendar.
Corporate Plans are designed to help guide the future direction of a Council and this plans aims to do just that. It is intended to provide a clear path for our Council to follow over the next 5 years. We will use this plan to chart our course on the big decisions that need to be made on behalf of our region during that time.
The Carpentaria Shire is not immune to natural disasters. Whilst these types of events are not common we cannot afford to become complacent. The key to effective disaster response and recovery is the resilience of the community and the willingness of people to work together for the benefit of the community.
In accordance with the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA), the local government for the Shire of Carpentaria has prepared this planning scheme as a framework for managing a defined use or use class in a way that advances the purpose of IPA.
